What is Gerenge? Gaeryeong is a combination of “Gae” meaning open and “Ryeong” meaning comfort. We use only the best ingredients when manufacturing reliable food from the Gerenge Village in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, South Korea. We are the Suncheon Godeulppaegi Agricultural Cooperative Corporation. We produce delicious kimchi and Godeulppaegi, a Korean lettuce (Crepidiastrum sonchifolium Max. is the botanical name). Godeulppaegi is a unique product to Suncheon City and is a healthy supplement and medicinal food. We launched the “Gerenge” brand after the village’s name. "Gerenge" is a traditional
name for Gaeryeong Village in Byeollyang-myeon, Suncheon- si, which means "little village by a stream in a mountain valley”, derived from the name Georeong.
