Cancer immunotherapy is highly attended treating option in incurable cancer. This therapeutic approach is based

on removing cancer cell with patient's own immune system by inhibiting the immune escaping characters of cancer
cells. Due to its therapeutic effect and relatively low side effects in clinical trials targeting various cancers, it has

attracted attention as a game changer in the anticancer drug market. In this study, we analyzed the global patent
trends of the past 10 years for cancer immunotherapy to provide a technological landscape in the field of anti-

cancer drugs. A total of 8,414 patents were categorized in 4 sub-technology fields which include as immune
checkpoint, immune cell therapy, therapeutic antibody, anticancer vaccine. We further analyzed the global patents

of cancer immunotherapy according to year, countries, applicants and sub-technology fields, such as market share,
competition intensity. These results provide the comprehensive data of patent information to understand recent

technological trend, and the direction of new R&D on developing the cancer immunotherapy fields.
