Annex IV. Inspection Checklist: Used Machinery and Equipment

- Protective device is incorporated into the control system?

When a part of the machinery or equipment has been stopped, is any drift away
from the stopping position, for whatever reason other than action on the
control devices, prevented?

- If the power is isolated does the machinery or equipment come to rest safely
without the possibility of access to dangerous parts?

- Does the start device need to be activated to restart the machine or equipment if:
ᆞthe power interruption?

ᆞa control or safety device fails to trip out?

Can the machinery or equipment be securely isolated from power,
to prevent inadvertent reconnection?

- by removing a plug from a socket which is easily visible to the person at risk?
- by locking it off?
