I. INSPECTION PROCEDURES

A. Contact Designated Inspection Body

Enterprise must aware that only MOST designation inspection bodies can perform the inspection for

used machinery, equipment, and technological lines according to Decision 18.

B. Inspection and Certification

Enterprise should recognize the procedures of inspection and certification by individual machinery
or technological lines.

1. Before Inspection

a) Check:
Is an inspection body designated by MOST?

Is individual machinery to be transferred to Vietnam in HS code Chapter 84 or

Chapter 85?
Is a technology in technological lines to be transferred to Vietnam on the restricted

or prohibited lists of the related Vietnamese regulations?

b) Documentation:

Operation Manual

Instructions for Safety, Energy-Saving, and Environment Protection

Specifications for weight, size, rated voltage, rated current

Design capacity or performance

Design consumption of raw materials, energy

Name plate

History of maintenance

Certificates for Safety, Energy-Saving, and Environment Protection

Manufacturer’s Certificate

Address and contact points of a plant in Vietnam
