Do you know what 'fast fashion' is? Fast fashion means clothes that
change rapidly according to fashion. A typical example of this is the SPA
           brand.
The first problem is the environmental problem. Most of these clothes are
made of cheap synthetic fibers. These synthetic fibers are similar to
plastics and are not easily decomposed, and when burned and treated, they
cause complex environmental pollution. More than 60% of textile fibers
in fast clothing are synthetic and about 85% of textile waste is incinerated
or buried. Greenhouse gas emissions and landfill waste increase as more
people use clothing made up of synthetic fabrics, chemicals and
unsustainable dyes. Also, it takes 7,000 liters of water to make a pair of
jeans, and 32.5 kilograms of carbon dioxide.

The second problem is labor. Most of these clothes are made in
developing countries, so we can get them at low prices. But because of
this, workers cannot get reasonable wages.

So, I want to avoid fast fashion and pursue slow fashion. Slow fashion is
the opposite of fast fashion, which minimizes the adverse effects on the
environment and the human body by using eco-friendly materials and
dyeing methods. This is what you can wear for a long time without
following the trend. Slow fashion companies make clothes from organic
and recycled materials, and fair trade helps low-wage workers earn a lot
of money. In addition, among the shopping items that are driven by
consumers' needs, H&M has promised to offset greenhouse gas emissions
by creating new technologies that absorb greenhouse gases. The solution
to this problem begins with individuals avoiding fast fashion.
