At present, we believe that we have no prejudice against others like
minorities. However, at an inner look, there is that kind of thing. Among
these prejudices, we can commonly find gender issues everywhere. Of
course, what men have to do is prejudiced, but with very few, treatment
for women is relatively bad socially and culturally. I also felt it when I do
something on this little scale society. As you can guess from what I
mentioned earlier, I have set this as a theme for public interest posters to
the need for equality of construction.
In this poster, the faces of two people are gathered half by half together.
Then, the phrase 'Is there a difference' with barcodes are on the top of the
poster. People will usually think of gender differences when they first see
this: women and men. This phrase just intended to point it out. When one
notices the word difference, it's common to dichotomize or divide
whatever one sees. This work can include the prejudices and stereotypes
that remain in us. All this explanation is below the picture. Even if we
exclude the problem of gender, we will try to divide in some criteria and
make groups. I thought it is not the right thing to do. I created the poster
to point out the sexist ideas among them that are remaining in us today.

This video shows the year in which a woman gained a right for something
or things that they achieve. Then, it shows us the present situation of
women's rights. I get surprised when searching on the internet in other
languages, not just English, for the sentence 'Women should' just like in
the video, I find sentences ‘They have to stay at home’, ‘They do not have
any rights’. As we can see in this case, we can confirm that we still have
sexist feelings in the present. Poster, which was just before the video with
this public interest character, wants to get the same message. Look at a
person with an equal perspective or treat someone as the same person.
This poster and video allow you to look back on prejudice you had in the
past or even now. I wish the world would become a better place to live for
everyone. Thank you very much.
