PLANS

                 A SIMPLE PLAN

An idea of the impressive size of this build can be gleaned from the plans above. The main accommodation is
contained primarily in one wing, with the open-plan kitchen-dining-living area on the lower level, with its three

enormous bay windows, and the five bedrooms on the upper level. Each of these bedrooms has its own en-suite,

which in turn are lit and ventilated by the thee ‘chimneys’ that come up from the ground floor. Largely self-contained

accommodation for a staff member can be reached via the kitchen.
The steading’s original cottage is in the top le corner and is connected with the main body of the house via

a glazed corridor. Around the rest of the internal courtyard are a laundry room, a boiler room, a car port and a
games room. The other wing contains a log store, workroom and garage. These various zones can be opened up as
necessary or kept closed when not needed.

                                                                                        CROSS
                                                                                        SECTION
