The Real Men Military Life Experience Project [The Real Men]
Korean men like to say “I learned everything I know in the army.” Surely, an
“army” is a microcosm of society. During their service, young men from diverse
90mins backgrounds and personalities learn how to get along with others while having
their mental and physical abilities pushed to the limits. What they learn in the
army lays a strong foundation in life. [The Real Men] is different from other army-
themed variety shows that usually focus on the tough boot camp experience. The
show takes five male celebrities with distinct personalities back to the military to
experience it in its entirety. The celebrities spend a whole week on a military base
and receive the exact same training alongside the younger soldiers. The bunch of
fortysomething celebrities find it physically hard to keep up and there are many
funny moments as they try to be a real men. The cast includes veteran actors,
a popular comedian, an Australian, a wannabe soldier and an idol singer. The
comradeship and hilarious situations they get into will definitely delight viewers.
