Attention!
As part of the New Craftsmen’s Made of
Mayfair series, which celebrates the London
collective’s premises in the city, textile artist
Aimee Betts has created a line of ceremonial
tassels, which have drawn inspiration from
the British military uniforms found within
the archives of Savile Row tailor Gieves &
Hawkes. Betts specialises in maritime braiding
techniques, which comes in handy when
producing the detailed hanging accessories.

LIGHT WORK
Of all the spaces in a home, the hallway
is likely to be the one most short on
space and daylight. Take a economical
approach to choosing furniture for such
areas. KSL Living’s lamp is particularly
hard-working, using wall space
effectively and also doubling up as a coat
rack in the process. It’s made from solid
oak from French eco-managed forests,
and the generously sized lampshade
comes in black, red, grey, brown and
purple fabrics, as well as the crisp white
colourway seen here. Around .
