Hello. We are Gyu Seon Kim and Da Yeon Park. From now on,
we will have a presentation about our poster.
The poster we made literally says “the world belongs to those who
read.” Highlighting on the word ‘read’, we emphasized reading.
Moreover, we proposedly emphasized reading and importance of
being a reader, implicitly denoted the person who can read is also
able to write what he or she wants to say by using a pencil
drawing.
On our way of making poster, through a survey on youth reading
which is carried out by youth organization, we found that half of
youth read not more than one book a month. Though the survey is
about youth, however, we think there is no difference with the
upper generation. Therefore by stating forward-looking words, we
focus on promoting reading especially from teenagers to thirties.
People live with a variety of thoughts. However, it is difficult to
express the idea with one’s own mouth or words. This happens
because we can’t translate our thoughts into words. The solution to
this problem is, of course, reading. Reading makes us translate our
thoughts into words.
Most importantly, reading books let us have our own thoughts
that allow us to beat the attacks of various powerful media and
prevalent wrong ideas. our own thoughts made by reading makes it
possible to form a critical attitude. Thus, we will be able to look at
events critically and even know where to put value.
As mentioned, we should read books because reading makes us to
build our system and allows us to unravel them with words and
writing.
The video we will play is saying exactly what we are trying to say
with the poster.
Teacher in the video is taking precaution with the power, as it
makes our thinking blunt, and he thinks the only solution to this is
reading. We hope you can feel what we are trying to convey
through the video, and we will wrap up the presentation with the
video.
