The nation is making a lot of money by levying huge taxes on cigarettes that
hurt people's health. In other words, smoking is the act of paying for a
disease. Second-hand smoking is also a very serious problem. Therefore,
stopping smoking can ensure not only smoker’s health but also marginal people’s
healths and can reduce the economic burden on the people. In this respect, it
is natural that smoking guarantees the public good.
To explain this poster, we likened a human body to a computer and a cigarette
to a compressed file. These files show nine major cigarette-related diseases.
Smoking is decompressing the ‘cigarette file’. If people decompress the ‘cigarette
file’, their computer gets ‘disease files’. Similarly if people smoke, their bodies
get diseases. The capacity of the computer you see here is the life span of a
person. So what the poster says is that decompressing large files results in a
computer running out of capacity, which means that the more you smoke, the
less you live, the more you die.
Smoking kills 30,000 people in Korea every year. Cigarettes also cause many
cancers, including lung cancer, larynx cancer, and oral cancer, as well as lung
and cardiovascular diseases. Let's investigate more about the adverse effects of
such cigarettes on the human body.
Cigarettes contain many bad ingredients such as tar, carbon monoxide, and
                  nicotine.
First of all, tar contains 43 carcinogens, which can kill even small animals and
insects because of its deadly toxicity. When tar enters the lungs, it seeps into
the blood and causes great damage to our cells and organs. Secondly, carbon
monoxide is a major cause of briquettes poisoning. It reduces the blood's ability
to carry oxygen and causes chronic hypoxia. This leads to arteriosclerosis and
aging. Finally, nicotine is a narcotic substance that causes habitual addiction.
This is also highly toxic, which causes peripheral blood vessels to contract,
increase blood pressure, and cholesterol levels of cholesterol.
Not only that, cigarettes corrode the brain. According to King's College London
research team, smoking hurts the brain, including the not only cognitive ability
of the brain but also causes a stroke. It was also discovered that early dementia
                  was also occurring.
Cigarettes can also hurt our future children.
In men, if the father smokes, problems arise from sperm, and the damaged
DNA is inherited by the child to increase the likelihood of childhood blood
                  cancer and childhood cancer.
                  Women also harm their children.
Female smokers have 1.6 times higher fertility rates than non-smokers and
twice as likely to have spontaneous miscarriages. Even if the baby is born
