                            The Statement of The 9thChina-Japan-KoreaITDirectors-General
                                   Meeting for the Promotion of Open Source Software

                                                      November 3, 2010


           The IT Directors-General Meetings for China-Japan-Korea to promote the Open Source Software have been successfully
           held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China; the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of
           Japan; and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea (hereinafter CJK) in Beijing, Sapporo, Seoul and Tianjin, Fukuoka,
           Seoul and Wuxi, Tokyo. Along with Northeast Asia Open Source Software Promotion Forum (hereinafter the Forum), these
           meetings have expanded collaborative ties and firmly established cooperative relations with people engaging in promotion
           of Open Source Software (hereinafter OSS) in three countries.
           The valuable progress to promote technology development, assessment, human resources development and the studies
           on standardization and certification has been accomplished through these meetings. Especially, CJK exchanged their
           opinions to improve interoperability and the latest technical trends such as cloud computing, green computing, smart GRID
           and mobile OSS technology at the last meeting in Tokyo on October19th, 2009. Inaddition, the way of promotion for
           framework of CJK IT DG meeting and the activities of three WGs were also discussed.
           The China-Japan-Korea IT Directors-General Meeting for promotion of Open Source Software was held in Seoul, Korea in
           cooperation of CJK on November 3rd,2010.
           Mr. CHEN Wei, Director General, Department of Software and Information Service, Ministry of Industry and Information
           Technology of China; Mr. ISHIGURO Norihiko, Director General, Commerce and Information Policy Bureau, Ministry of
           Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan; and Mr. KIM Jundong, Director General, Emerging Industries Bureau, Ministry of
           Knowledge Economy of Korea attended the meeting with their delegations.
           The meeting summarized the latest progress on OSStechnology, industry development and cooperation since the
           8thmeeting, and discussed the cooperation in the future.
           IT Directors-General of CJK has successfully reached the followin consensus:
              1. CJK will continuously share
              OSS related information, including the latest technical trend sand applications,
              such as cloud computing, green computing, smart GRID, mobile OSS technology
              and e-government. CJK will encourage industrial co-operations in the fields
              mentioned above.
              2. CJK will continue to promote interoperability, open standards, utilizations, and
              human resources development, also continue to support building up Northeast Asia
              OSS ecosystem.
              3. CJK will coordinate the strategy of
              OSS promotion continuously, and support the Forum for expanding the ways to
              contribute the outcomes of the Forum to global communities.
              4. CJK evaluates the achievement of the Forum highly and will continue to
              support the activities of the Forum henceforth.

           The 10th CJK IT Directors-General Meeting will be held in China in 2011. The date and venue in China will be decided by
           Department of Software and Information Service, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China in discussion
           with Japanese and Korean counterparts.
