[Above] A painting by Edinburgh artist John Brown hangs above the sitting-
room fireplace. [Right] The room’s curtains are by Lewis & Wood, with a Claude
Declercq braid, while the lidded vase on the sill is by Nicky Haslam. The Clock
House sofa and stool are both covered in Claremont fabrics, with Claremont and
Tissus d’Hélène cushions. The rug was found at a London sale room. On top of
the Georgian writing table, bought from Rait Antiques, sits a sang-de-boeuf lamp
from Vaughan Lighting. [Below left] The motorbike and sidecar were found at
a fleamarket in Amsterdam. [Below right] A close-up of the sumptuous Claude
